Just did 28 rolls not too long ago, and got 4 wheats, including this beauty.

Just did only $10.00 bucks worth in bank-rolls today and found a nice 38S, which I needed in my Whitman folder, so it was a nice day!

Chuckster - Isn't it great when you fill a hole? I think the worst box I've ever had would become a great box if I filled a hole.

Great one Scooby! I have never used Verdi-Care on a Zincoln, guess it would be OK. Not sure if it would have an adverse effect if it has exposed Zinc. Still, if you don't stop it, it will only get worse. Good luck with a great coin.

Congrats Scooby! Since you are in my town - this gives me hope for the 95 DDO!!

It gets discouraging sometimes going thru thousands on those and other dates and not ever finding anything.

Ideal candidate! VERDI-CARE™ works great on ALL coins/metals. This coin will look 100% better in about 30 seconds. I predict will it remove all that corrosion. Get on it and post some after pics for us.

No adverse effect whatsoever....remember, VERDI-CARE™ is designed for ALL metals. All you guys should have a bottle on-hand at all times for conservation cases like this. In all honesty, I cannot live without it. It's so gentle yet effective, you really can't screw up.

Finally! I picked up a bag from my CU, I didn't realize that they would give me a loose bag from the coin machine, but it looks like it was a good idea. I have already found a couple of good wheats, including a 1913(although it's pretty beat up), several S's, some pretty new 2009's, and finally a low-wear but high-grime 2000 WAM! If it was in better condition I would be happier, but I'll take what I can get. I hope to get some pics up soon, so I can see what the experts think.

I'm impressed with amount of wheaties some of you guys find in bank boxes. I think it may depend on the region of the country you live in? I'm in NC and my copper percentage is in the low 20's and usually only find about 5 or 6 wheaties per box and they're common dates too.

But the possibility of finding something really good in the next box keeps me going back for more!

Stacksilver - try handrolled rolls, sometimes they are better than boxes. If you can get $50 bags, they can do quite well also. Regardless of what you look through, keep on lookin! And as you've seen in this thread, copper and wheaties aren't the only keepers!
