Nice skibs! It looks to be in nice shape too for an impaired proof. The next few should come easier.

Thanks Rackster. I almost didn't believe it when I saw the proof like surfaces. It was a, "could this really be?" type of moment :-)

Went through a box of cents from String & Sons yesterday. Found nothing really good. There were 7 wheat cents from the 40's and 50's and 2 copper Canadian cents. There was about $7.50 in you S copper cents also that went to the copper collection bucket.

7 LWCs in a box is on the low side. Maybe low copper in that box? Good luck on a better yield from your next box Dave.
I've been reading up here that this is a good time to CRH - folks cashing in pennies for Xmas purchases. I'm 10 rolls in on a box and I've pulled 6 LWCs including a 1920 and 1936. It's nice to see older wheats in the mix. Copper seems up as well and the Zincolns are cleaner than normal. I suspect old money finding their way back into circulation. I hope the rest of the box is as good! I'll post the stats in a couple of weeks.

Started a bag (I bought 6 yesterday) and within several hundred coins I found a 1898 IHC. Decent shape, little, if any of the letters in liberty showing

I have a special place in my collection for all Rainbows, and replace and of my card coins with the beautiful ones that just seem to appear from rolls that have that perfect luster look. Thanks for sharing your coins.

I usually wouldn't buy 6 bags of pennies at a time, except I have a bunch of vacation coming up, so I am buying everything I can to stock up.

Quote: I usually wouldn't buy 6 bags of pennies at a time So where do you buy bags of cents? None of the banks around here handle bags (that I know of).

Sounds like a good plan Cbass. Looks like my vacation time will be rolled over to next year. But I'd much rather spend some of it on a CRH event.

Pete - you need to cultivate relationships with tellers who will sell you bags. Donuts, cookies, pizza, etc - it all pays off

Wrapped up a bag and started another. Found 1910 wheat in decent shape. Might send that Cud in for attribution.
