Incredible IFC find! I don't suppose you could pull a date off with a bit of vinegar?

I just started a box of plastic machine-wrapped cents. I'm eight rolls in, and have 47 wheat cents already. This is crazy! Two 1918 cents, a few from the 20s, some 30s, and later. Also a 1926-D. I've never had a box like this. I think the most wheat cents I have found in a box prior to now is 17. There are seven wheat end-rollers also in the box, which indicated it would be a good one.

UPDATE: I'm 21 rolls in. So far 116 wheats and the earliest is 1910-P. Also, a 1962 proof, and one counterstamped coin.

I finished the box: 258 Wheats. My best box ever. My previous record was 17 wheats in one box, so I'm astounded. I filled 4 holes in with this box! The pre-1940 coins were: 1909, 1910, 1926-D, 1929-D, 1938-D, 1939-S, 1917 (4), 1918 (3), 1919, 1920 (7), 1923, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928 (2), 1930 (2) 1934 (2), 1935 (4), 1937 (6). There was also a 1949 George VI and a 1962 impaired proof. I don't think I'll ever have a box like this again. My son opened the roll with the 1909. Great fun! The box was machine-wrapped with 2016 coins in the mix.

Holy crap, aristarchus! Congrats!

As for me, $26.50 in cents bought yesterday ($15 CWR, $11.50 MWR) brought me only 5 wheats, but one of them was made of a different alloy!

Amazing hoard, Aristarchus! Some of those coins look pretty nice.
John77, even if the numbers weren't great, I think that steel makes up for it.

Just finished a box of pennies. Got 10 wheats, the oldest being a 1940. Also found a lowball, a Cud error, and another error that I am unsure of, even if it is an error. I will post the lowball in the lowball forum.

Amazing box, Aristarchus! Would love to hit one of those someday!

We picked up 2 boxes to do over the Thanksgiving holiday and we've gone through one already.

9 wheats (a 1935 plus 40's and 50's), plus 12 Canadians. We found a 1960, which was one we didn't have for Canadian Cents. We actually started up a book because we've found so many, and we're only missing 1988, 2011 and 2012 to have a full run of 1959-2012 Canadian Cents, all from CRH.
