From my second ten rolls of cents: 1999 WAM!

I'm hoping this streak of beginner's luck carries over to when I grab some more cents.

cldague I couldn't get to a bank before they closed today, so no knowing if my cent luck will carry. I'm about to post half finds to errors though. *fingers crossed*

coinee That's a nice 1918. Looks like you found the twin to mine! Are you keeping the post 1982 cents? I just check the zincolns for errors and send them into the chuck pile.

Druu The 1918 does look like yours. I'd give it AG-
I am only keeping nice post 1982s. If it looks nice I'll look for fingerprint evidence and/or spots, if none or acceptable spots then I'll look for some percentage of steps. Any fingerprints or major spotting is a tosser.

Of course it's up to you, but I wouldn't keep any of those Zincolns unless you find some varieties or errors. MS 1982-present coins are exceedingly common. Nice 1918, though.

Agreed. And actually, it's very common to find BU Lincolns dating back to the early 1970s. I rarely go a batch of 10 rolls without finding at least one. Pre-1970 BU Lincolns are much harder to find in my experience. That said, there are certain dates such as the 1984-D that do bring a good premium in BU...

John - goodness!! Leave a few of those 1909's in circulation for the rest of us please!

Druu - congrats on the 1999 WAM! That's an excellent find! The best find on the page and that was hard to do with John stealing all the 1909's.

Silverfranklin - that's a fun find! Nice Cud!

Photos taken using a Samsung Note 4 phone. Anchoring it so it doesn't shake is key for any camera. I am using a one of those stands for a hand-held digital microscope without the microscope. Similar to the first one in this list. I sit the coin on the stand bottom then place the camera on top of the microscope holder, focus and snap the photo. Another piece in the setup is indirect lighting via a cheap work light from Home Depot.

Roy - hopefully not, but not likely that you have thrown a 1999 WAM back. These are rather hard to find (although one member here lives close to the release point for this variety and found several early on). 1998, 1999, and 2000 WAMs. Check out Lincoln Cent Resource ( http://lincolncentresource.com/ ) and read up on this variety. Druu's coin should fetch a number of pretty pennies (thousands of cents).
