went through 2 boxes of pennies over the last 2 weeks. 16 wheats (oldest was a 1918), the rest were all 40's and 50's. found 19 Canadians and about 25 2009s.

Druu, I put them to the side for now. I don't like the shield pennies.

Just started roll hunting last week and decided to start with cents since that is what I am most familiar with (also got some nickles and that was really overwhelming. lol). Anyway My first $10 gave up six wheats (nothing special), three Canadian (79,87, 92), seven S-mint, and two new pennies (is that the correct plural?).

Got another $10 a couple days later which only had two wheats, five 09s, three S-mints and a bunch of BU Shield cents. Shield cents are ok for now since I havent really collected any yet. O and this funny looking guy

$30 in cents yielded 7 wheats, but the three best coins were a 1929 LWC, a 1940 George VI, and a 1958 Elizabeth II.

Nice find, Slamnbass!

I found another mini-collection dump tonight... nothing spectacular, but 22 wheats in 1 roll, and 29 in another... all common date 1940-1957 dated coins, which appear to have been out of a collection as there were only 11 different dates represented:
1940, 1941, 1945 (7), 1945-D (2), 1946 (6), 1948-D, 1951 (2), 1951-D (21), 1953-D (8), 1955-D, 1957-D. A fun find for sure! Almost all of the rest of the coins in the rolls were 1984 and 1985 dated coins in AU/BU condition.

Have had some more good finds in the cents lately... found these two 1943-S steel cents in back-to-back CWR... and also found two 1954 Philly coins the past couple of weeks out of MWR - a coin which has always been VERY elusive out here on the West coast.

Nice-looking coins, John77!

I did one box tonight. 10 LWCs, and the 1928 was the best of the group:

Thanks, LibertyEagle20, jbuck, and aristarchus123. I was pretty shocked to find them so well preserved. The first one grades at EF-45.
