1959-D Lincoln Cent Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ?

Duckhawk Valued Member United States 109 Posts	Posted 12/06/2008 6:10 pm I had thought this was rpm #055 as there are markers present on the reverse which match along with the mm location. But the projection below the mint mark looks more like a die dent. Any thoughts? Mike Report this Post to the Staff

Duckhawk your coin looks like damage on the mint mark, but a possible RPM under the lower serif. An overlay matches both numbers for location from what I can can see. Report this Post to the Staff

But I've been working about 10 years with it and still learning new stuff every time I use it. The program and directions on how I use it is on the coppercoins.com/ site under the Photography section. Here are a couple of tags on how I use the program. I use an older program 5.5, so you don't need the newest program. The price might surprise you, but getting an older program will cost less. But the steps are there unless I forgot something. There may even be better solutions that I didn't include as most of this information is a few years old. But enjoy.
