Very impressive Rob, I wish I could find "junk stalls" that sell 50 coins including a 1910 6d for $5!
Instead I am limited to potentially fake florins from Auction houses.
What do you think of a modern British coin of the year, but instead of going back, we start in 1816 and go forward!

Could I suggest that we have two further days for Australian coins - one for gold pre-1910, and another for Australian and NZ trade tokens and Exonumia?

Totally, my ideas and proposal
March 23rd - 1900s, all gold, tokens, exonumia 24th - 1890s 25th - 1880s 26th - 1870s 27th - 1860s 28th - 1850s and earlier
29th extra day to show any additions of any era
At least a 2 week break before any new threads.

Then its a plan.
Nice 1910 coins guys, especially your sixpence Steve and your Florin NumisRob, funny how all my sixpences of this era have been crazy and all your ones have been awesome!

Some 1910 coins. Nice 1910 set princetane. Are we talking about only minted in Australasia or can it be circulated in australia? And to think that people who got trade token thought they basically got swindled. If only they knew about QE hahaha.

Any token that was either minted in Australia and New Zealand or minted elsewhere but for use in those countries.
One exclusion are British Professor holloway tokens which were widely used in both countries.
Same for medals and exonumia, either minted there or solely for use in those countries.

Nice coins Ryurazu! My 1900s items My only remaining gold coin, a 1906S gold half sovereign It is in my storage unit, so an old photograph. Sydney minted so this counts as Australian fair dinkum gold. Not really a "Gold" collector as I am worried about it attracting theives (Yet 1934 Melbourne Florins and NZ 1935 3ds get a free pass ). I may buy some more gold coins one of these days - but realistically the price needs to come down and they are not rare like some better silver coins, just really expensive because gold is really expensive 1901 Bronze medal of the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall to New Zealand (Later George V and Queen Mary, as it was pre Aug 1902, they were not the Yorks or Waleses yet!). This was locally made and pretty crudely made too, the ship is the HMS Ophir which took them around NZ. They visited in winter - but the weather was nice as this shot shows. Yes its deja vu as I posted it all in the HFBCWG thread last year!

Interesting medal, Princetane! This is my only 1900s Australian gold coin - a 1904-P (Perth) gold sovereign:

Not much to offer here. I have a 1911 coronation medal. I think it is silver. Steve :)
