My recent acquisition, having a difficult time to identify which Die it is! closest I could come was a matching Die marker, a retained die break on the Y to VV DDO-05, but the doubling does not match, it's stronger with notching mostly on lower left leg of devices facing West. Will appreciate your thoughts.

THe only one that I can find that resembles it is DDO-007 on VV. But it doesn't seem right, maybe you can match it, otherwise it is an unlisted DDO.

T.c.d ,Thank you for the input, I have compared to all of the V.V. designations and no match!

I'll contact Larry Nienaber , he is a member on this forum and the authority on Kennedy DDs.

Wexler has no DDO's for the 1971-D? That seems strange compared with the number of them on V.V?

coop, You are correct, I thought it was odd as well, thanks for checking. It'll be interesting to see what L.Nienaber has to say.

I think your attribution is correct, 71D DDO-005. Attached are some photos of some markers on the 71D DDO-005's from my collection. I have 3 of them, Stage C and D's, all these markers are on all 3. For the obverse, the dot cluster right of the Y in LIBERTY near the bottom, and the two die scratches SE from the G in GOD. For the reverse, the die gouge dot over the top above D in DOLLAR, and the short gouge running west of the top of the 2nd T of STATES. Maybe these markers will help you confirm the 71D DDO-005.
