You guys have to wait 1 more day. I was picking up leaves and then washed the cars and my wife made me go out to get Christmas decorations so no time today :(

You guessed it, decorate for Christmas. I'll try tomorrow to get pictures (of the coin, not Christmas decorations)! We also took my mom out to dinner, so today was pretty much shot. Your comment reminds me of a story my next door neighbor told me this morning.
He just pulled into his driveway, and I noticed a smile on his face. I then asked, "Where are you coming from?". He said he just got back home from a Pleasure Trip! I asked him where he went? He then let me know he dropped his mother-in-law off at the airport!

While I plan my purchases for my collection, I also tend to wing it when something comes my way that I like. Living where I live, I have a few coins shops within a 30 to 45 minute drive that I can pick up a lot of stuff locally. My current favorite coin shop is 30 minutes away and he has a pretty extensive selection of what I want to buy. Being on a major road way also helps. As I'm a regular customer, I can usually get good prices and since he knows what I like he calls me when anything he thinks I want comes in. He gets several nice collections a year and I've been allowed to cherry pick when he gets them in. This does create havoc with my planned purchases since I may be saving up for like a gold coin and a rare coin comes about that I want. I can't buy everything but sometimes I can't say no. So a few weeks ago he listed a coin on ebay that he didn't call me about. I reached out to him and he was like you want this? I was like yep. Ended up getting a great price (way lower than ebay) and its a coin I've been wanting. So today you get a Proof V nickel.     |

@coinfrog, The color is accurate, it has a light pink toning. When you move the coin around, it tends to go from pink to orange. Toning radiates out from the edges. I hope it intensifies over the years. Maybe I should store it in my sock drawer  Edited by hfjacinto
