First of the coins. I had a few to choose from and I always buy the coin and not the grade. This one in AU58 looked nicer than an MS63.

Great Double Eagle! AU58 is a highly desirable grade!

The Roman coin I lack knowledge. But I truly appreciate it due to its age! A great part of history! Think about the people that handled it, and ask yourself, how it was used? What did they buy?

Enjoy!!!!!!

Great double eagle, hfjacinto! I agree that a high-AU graded gold coin (especially a $20 or $10) will often have better eye appeal than a low-MS graded example. And easier on the wallet, as well!

I see a few nasty scratches on my cheek, but mostly it's a perfect coin. I wonder if sending her for re-evaluation will she get MS? I envy you . Congratulations on your purchase .

The 2nd coin, not so big and heavy, but still nice sized.
