I've studied the photos and can't see much wear at all, just a few marks as mentioned by Fortcollins when he played around the contrast. I personally own different years graded MS63 that have tons more scratches and scuffs than this coin so it has me a bit confused. I'm not saying the TPG was wrong here, just wanting to know why they decided on '7 under perfect.' I'm only asking because I have recently purchased a Roll of 1881-S, and I should receive them tomorrow or Monday so I will be picking the best ones to post new threads on. They all look excellent and I'm really hoping to get MS67 out of at least one of them. But would love some tips on this specific year. Report this Post to the Staff
Zurie Pillar of the Community United States 5675 Posts	Posted 07/23/2021 10:11 am Many 81-S Morgans have PL or semi-PL surfaces that make it difficult to assess by photograph. This one has a scratch in front of the nose and some chatter in the fields that wasn't apparent in the original photos, although it still seems to be undergraded. Report this Post to the Staff
