Another find my friend and I pulled from the dirt on our metal detecting adventures. This time its a 1910 Barber dime and we are torn on whether we should pay to submit it to a grading company and have it slabbed. Details are sharp, but has an obvious nick on his nose and you can tell it came out of the dirt. Opinions on what it could come back as?

XF40 at most from what I can see, value $22 if it straight-graded. Nice find but you'd have to have another reason besides value to have it slabbed.

XF Details, ED. Not worth the grading costs, but 2x2 worthy for a cool find.

Hard to grade from the posted pics. That said it is not MS and not worth paying to get it graded.

to CCF. Needs to grade at least MS63 to justify all costs involved in grading it http://www.numismedia.com/cgi-bin/c...de2=pricesms

VF-35 to XF-40 for me. Not quite worth the price to grade. If you want to flip it, demand could make it worth the sell at those grades. Greysheet only has the bid price at $20.

Stay well,
