Mine finally says shipped, which initially means a label was created, but the PO doesn't have it yet. Maybe I'll have it in a week.

Mine made it to K.C yesterday, on to Omaha today, back to K.C. All they had to do is get it the last 10 miles, but nooo that was to easy. Heck I'm still waiting for last ASEs, almost a month now.

Now that I have 2 proofs in hand of type 1 & 2 ... can I be blunt, I feel like the new type 2 has less detail beauty compared to the previous type 1. Cough manuf cost cutting cough.

Yep, the type 2 obverse is really lacking in details compared to the type 1. Although I like the type 2 reverse more.

My order is still listed as processing.... SO frustrating...
And now... there are people apparently reporting getting emails that the set is BACKORDERED!

Finally had a minute to go check the mailbox, and there it was. I finally have my RP ASE set! Beautiful coins! To those still waiting... your patience will be rewarded.

How do I describe it, it looks like it was sculpted in ice -- and then hit with a hair dryer. Type 2 has a melted look to me. edit: I am guessing much digital ink has been spilled about this already elsewhere. I'll shut up now.

I don't know if I would go so far as melted ice but it looks like an over polished obverse die kind of like the 1922 no D. Obverse has mushy details with a clear and sharp reverse. I hope we get a type 2.1 in 2022.

Mine are out for delivery now.
I prefer Type 1 over Type 2.
