Great post to all..

Started with awesome pics of a shiny coin. Followed with an informed question regarding lathe lines, which I have 2% knowledge of.
Next were responses which confirmed OP's guess.
Then topic was further defined by a sub-section about 1996 D LMC possibly having most instances of lathe rings.
Followed with confirmation from one of the most knowledgeable members on our forum.

Nice example, OP. That is something I have yet to actually see in person or own an example of.
