Thanks for checking on this coin. From what I can see, it is not raised. It does look fairly clean. I tried to get it at an angle for a better view of it. Hope it works. Thanks again.

Flat, shelf like, on the outside edges of devices. That is Machine Doubling. If it were a doubled die, then it would be raised and enlarge the devices:

When you get down to where it mentions the word "kiss" you in the correct area as to why that central area is affected. Read that area twice to let it sink in.
