But on the OP's coin, the coin does appear gold plated. To a collector, a plated coin is a ruined coin. The weight is showing a heavy plating weight.

A 1941 wouldn't be brass plated since this is not a after 1983 cent. But I find wheat occasionally plated with gold for some sort of "collectible" scam or tourist souvenirs.
