You should check out this NGC counterfeit article on this coin.

The "S" on your coin is fat, not like the four known shown in the article.

Hey good lookin, whatcha got cookin? Don't I know you, lol?

But yeah, that mark looks funny. And I'll just betcha a shiny new dime some if not all of those dealers who offered to buy it but wouldn't submit it for him had their suspicions too.

The pics here from ABS21, can anybody verify my observations? I thought that the lower serif on the S is supposed to align north to south, not slanted like this one is and also on the reverse, the letter B of VDB is supposed to be slanted in the middle, not straight as depicted in these pics.

Another indicator on a genuine coin is that the S mintmark should have a bump in the upper curve of the S. It is the same mintmark used on the 1912s Liberty nickel I am told.

To my eye, with the OP's coin, less wear on the 'S' than everything else.
A case to have this coin authenticated, via a TPG.

Get it graded and check for 1922 no d and weak d in those rolls.
