SS,
As for PNCs posting, you can say that mules that sell on the low side price wise during quiet seasons, are in the "one offs" and out of price trend for market value. Hence those astute buyers that have purchased cheaply during these off peak seasons (such as around X'mas) have scored bargains.

unfortunately I never score any bargains around xmas because I am always broke , so I cant bid on anything

So in relation to SS' posting, at the moment there are a lot of inexperienced buyers out there who do not know how to grade and hence purchase mules for the sake of owning a mule...

This is where you will find the bargains where actual value doesn't match the ending prices.
Most of these inexperienced buyers who don't know how to grade you will find are ending up winning the F to gF mules while the experienced graders are winning the VF mules by going that 1 bid further. These experienced graders aren't being pushed by the inexperienced because they think a mule is a mule and they have already made up their mind on how much to bid without taking into account the grade of the coin.

Question time. Does ebay US still have reserve prices for coin auctions? If so I might have to list one of the good ones just to test how far people will go when offered a high end coin. Unfortunately ebay Aust canned reserve price auctions for coins otherwise I would have listed it there.

If you ever get that one, I suspect you will have done so by dealing with the executor of the estate of SS.

If you meet the reserve price on this auction then you will be paying more than it's worth now. This will be a listing to TEST people when a high end coin comes up for grabs, not an auction to SELL the coin. If anyone meets the reserve price they're welcome to the coin

Yes lim I will list the wow mule as the pic comes out nicer than the better red mule.

Bigfella, don't hold your breath waiting for one or expect to get one cheap. I personally know of three people who would pay serious money for an unc one.

PNC, I don't know if Greg has a pricing structure in place for the $1 mule for his next pocketbook, but if the general consensus from most mule collectors/investors is that my price guidelines are on the ballpark, then he is welcome to use it. You can pass this info onto him.
