I'm hoping to acquire a Whydah tribute, if someone has one for trade or sale.

Went through the entire thread yet again (3 times? 4?) and did not see one of these.

Quote: Clark Gruber $60 Nice! It appears that you have quite a Daniel Carr collection. Thanks for posting! Do you also have the 2013 CG Gold piece? The 2014? I like Mr. Carr's work, but I am not a dedicated collector. I just have his "1975" Bicentennial fantasy over-strikes.

commems, I only started collecting Dan Carr pieces a few months ago. Unfortunately, I don't have any of his gold pieces (yet). Chopped Triumphs listed a set of the 1975 pieces (dollar, half, and quarter) on ebay recently, but my bid was insufficient. Now I know in case another set comes up.

Quote:Chopped Triumphs listed a set of the 1975 pieces (dollar, half, and quarter) on ebay recently As I haven't been in the market for a set of late, I didn't realize the prices had advanced to such a degree! The closing price of >$400 for that lot is about double that of what I paid for my matched set. Glad I got it when I did!

I thought that $360 would get it. Alas, that was not the case.

Thank you, Chopped, and you've been a major help in building my DC collection! I haven't posted pictures of many of the coins I've acquired from you, as you have already done that earlier in the thread.
