@erafjel, thanks for the info on train on the 5 leke note! @NumisRob, thanks for tying your Scotland note into some pop culture. That's really cool and I remember that HP scene well.

Here is an earlier (paper) Scottish £10 note showing the Glenfinnan viaduct, but without the steam train crossing it:

I've always liked the Scottish banknotes NumisRob. Also would love to pick up one of those 100 Soles (jeez, sounds like the title to a good movie) 'Caletan." So I poured over all of my notes & that's all I got for trains (sadly enough) So, I'll have to work on that. But this here's my 'dream note' (other than the $25 from 1935). But it is one of my favourites & I often wonder if I'll ever be able to afford one in decent condition. It's the 1912 Dominion of Canada $5.00 http://www.banknote.ws/COLLECTION/c.../CAN0031.htm(any version)

I went through my entire collection of world notes and can't find another train example. Very disappointing! Time to do some shopping.

One of my all time favourites is this Chinese 1 Yuan note from 1914, P-116m (Shanghai of course. Other cities are very rare and if you find them often in a bad condition)

Quote: A very attractive note Thank you NumisRob Here a banknote from one of the many Mexican provincial banks, the Banco Peninsular Mexicano, 1914. The same locomotive as on the Peruvian 100 Soles note. And a nice port scene.
