Would this be considered MD? (footnote, it's tough looking at proof coins under a scope...) Report this Post to the Staff

Bogiesmokes Valued Member United States 197 Posts	Posted 05/24/2021 12:55 pm I appreciate the input, @John1 - I just read two very interesting articles from coinnews.net about proof coin polishing. I'm assuming the laser machine used at the SF mint for the last several years wasn't around in the early 1990's, so likely human error from polishing? Would this make that line a die clash then? I'm not sure what year they started the laser frosting of the dies. But that is what I would expect to see on example of one. On my tablet, so I can't check to see if they all look like that or not?
