That looks like the large beads type Gjs1985
The small beads variety has beads so small that you could fit an extra bead in between the spaces.

Based on your picture I would say your coin is large beads simply because the I in Regina does not point to a bead. You can also look up your coin in the Charlton Coin Guide. The 2016 guide has a buy price of $1,500 for the 1966 small bead.

Hi everyone, new member, but I'll be back as we inherited lots of coins from my dad who was a professional auctioneer.
I came here looking for definitive answers on the small versus large beads, as we have a bag of them. I ended up taking some photos and discovered they seem to be the large bead version, despite a collector glancing at it and immediately stating they were small.
I enlarged some photos and marked them to highlight the difference, and the large bead version has the letter clocked so that the "I" is centered on the bottom edge of the bead, while the small bead version is centered slightly below the center of the bead. I like canuck888's method though, and the dots between the letters are 22 pixels in my larged photos, and the beads are 24 pixels. Below is a composite reference shot.

That's the best comparison shot of small/large beads that I have seen! Great reference shot.

I have a 1966 silver dollar and I think it may have small beads based on what I have read here. What do you think?
