halfamind Pillar of the Community United States 1498 Posts	Posted 07/06/2021 6:08 pm I agree with the tape theory. Someone may have taped it into a cardboard coin board. Pure acetone should take off most of the residue without further coin damage. I suspect the area under the tape might always have a different coloration, though, due to chemical reaction with the copper. Report this Post to the Staff
