Thanks, CentSeeker! Not sure about the talent part but I do enjoy it. I did not attach links to most of these topics, so if you have any questions about a particular thing or just need more info on them, just let me know.

Do you sort them before or after you inspect them? I would guess you sort them after your inspection because you are so familiar by now with all the varieties, but I was just curious about that part of your process. I have been sorting first so as to read up on varieties for a handful or so of a particular year and mint I am about to inspect.

I did sort them when I first started searching rolls. I looked for particular dates that had obvious doubled dies or transitional varieties.
Over time, your searching method may change, some continue to sort and then search each particular date/mm. I know what to look for on particular date/mm, for the most part, so I just search right out of the roll and they either get attributed right then, go to the out box, that goes back to the bank or I'll drop it in a can, to be attributed at a later time, if it's questionable.
It's really good to be on different forums and check out others finds, this will teach you what to look for, in particular years and all the other things that are out there. You have doubled dies, RPM's, OMM's, inverted mm's, transitional varieties, clashes, Cuds, spike heads, BIE's, trail dies and much more. So pay attention to others and STUDY, there is a lot of good info out there. Check out my post, at the top of page 28, for links to different websites that will help you.

At the end of the day, the more you know is out there, the more you will find and not go on as long a dry run, in between finds. Good luck with your hunting and don't be afraid to ask questions, anytime.

Wow! Really nice finds. I'm quite sure I've seen several of these and I sent them back to the bank. It looks like I have allot to learn.

Hey thanks for pointing me to all the links. I tried the Lincoln Cent Forum but I think they are down. I would like to spend more time here on your thread first tho so no worries. I can't very well find errors and varieties if I can't focus in on them ha ha. Take care.
