If you look at the US Mint 2021 products list you'll see they've switched from the nice hinged boxes to cheaper cardboards for many issues, likely to save/make money.

Yeah, I saw that, but I don't like it. We're paying more but getting less. We'll, I guess that's the mantra of 2021.

My 2021 W Proof ASE type 1 came in the old packaging. Now, I will probably buy more mint velvet boxes for the new eagles. I did not like the packaging of Proof ASE's. It is the same type of packaging as the older UNC commemorative coins. Edited by carlp007

Forgot to mention that the velvet hinged boxes fit perfectly in the OGP outer box and sleeve.

I had 2 of these on backorder but got an email today from mint saying they cannot fulfill and to call in otherwise my order will be cancelled to protect from fraud. So which is it, they cannot fulfill like the e-mail says or I need to call in and they will fix it?

So y'all are saying there might be a buying opportunity at 7:30 tomorrow morning? This is the only ASE that I have been unable to get (except that I did purchase the LEPS to get it). |

I finally got through to a Mint rep and she told me the system inadvertently sent this e-mail to all who purchased this product (or maybe all those who have not shipped yet?). Told me my order was in good status.
Bret - I did have 2 open orders for the ASE-S and I canceled one of them - so take a look for it at 7:30!.

US mint picking up speed lol start hitting the bank account hard, now just waiting on my last 6. This year we'll spend alot.
