Which Banks Don't Require You To Have An Account To Buy Coin Rolls?

In some areas out west the coin shortage hasn't gone completely away. Some banks are tightening up a bit and asking if you have an account--some US Bank branches are doing that.

Most of the banks here in SoCal do require accounts to get coin. Wells tends to be more lenient than Chase overall and also seems to be more stocked on coins than Chase. BofA is definitely the most strict. I've had some luck at Union Bank in the past. Most US Bank branches are having coin shortage issues so you'll likely have trouble getting coin there.

Hit or miss. I've had banks order entire boxes for me as a no-account. I've also had banks turn me away just inside the door. All depends on what you can get away with.

I'm in NorCal.I have several credit unions, and one branch each of Bank Of America,Chase,Wells Fargo,and U.S Bank.I don't live in a metropolitan area,and I'm about 2 hours away from Sacramento.So I just bank hop.

Bank Of America:Refuses to give any amount of rolled coin to noncustomers

Wells Fargo:If you're not a customer will only give $20 in coins per visit.

U.S Bank:Will give you rolls of coins of any amount as long as they have enough,if you don't have a account,they won't give boxes if you don't have a account.

Chase:Probably the most generous one of all,Chase allows nonmembers to get $100 in coin per visit.Some Chase Branches will even order boxes of pennies or one box of nickels for noncustomers.
