Provenance for collectibles is important and it's cool to know this particular coin was from the beginning of the SF dollar production run in 1922.
However: 1. That production run extended to over 17 million coins. 2. This coin is not a proof or specimen strike and has no intrinsic unique characteristics compared to the other 17+ million 1922-S Peace dollars. 3. The auction record for a 1922-S dollar is $34,800, for a PCGS MS-66 coin sold in August 2021. 4. I'm with psuman08 regarding this coin: it's ugly and might be a tough sell at just $50. If I were shopping for coins in the $75,000 ballpark this coin would be at the bottom of my candidate list.
