The US use coin orientation when striking coins, you dollar is normal. Value is going to be close to silver value for a common coin in that condition.

U.S. coins normally have the reverse 180 degrees rotated from the obverse (the top of the obverse is the bottom of the reverse), commonly referred to as "coin alignment". When the top of the obverse is also the top of the reverse, that's commonly known as "medal alignment".
