@trev, I am unfamiliar with the term "struck through freeze", but based on the pics you have posted, it looks like this 1998 or 1999 dime has excessive wear on the front as the rims have worn down into the inscription in places.

" Struck through freeze" is a new term to me. Please explain.
All I see is a worn dime with a stain on the forehead.

I'm seeing post strike damage. We see similar damage every few days on this forum, it seems.

What is the weight of your coin? If you have a thinned planchet it can create weakness on the strike. Some of the reverse devices seen a bit weak?
