Found this 2012 red poppy $2 (mintage 500,000) in circulation back in 2013, before I started keeping accurate stats. It's the only one I've ever found and I've been noodling the whole 10 years since it was released.

These coins go for about $200-$300 these days, but people forget or don't realise that it took a couple of years before their popularity and value suddenly increased. Up until about 2014 people struggled to recoup the $10 "donation" they paid for it. Some even ended up in circulation.

If anyone else has found any I would love to see them

Found this the other week and gave it an acetone bath overnight,
the coin was pretty clean to begin with.

A week previous ,i bought a 2018 uncirculated version from ebay that cost me $26.
I have gone overboard with the staples to seal the 2x2 better.
These 2x2 holders have gaps if only 4 staples are used. The Lighthouse Matrix 2x2 holders are on my shopping list.
