I've been trying to find the standard catalog of world coins for a while now, Yesterday I placed an order off of Amazon for the 1901-2000 book, I was amazed how the 2009 edition cost 45$ and just going one year prior it was 11$ alltogether used , Hopfully when it gets here it won't be damaged or anything.

But I tryed finding 1801-1900, which is also important, but I can't find a single copy below 40$ anywhere. I've been to Amazon, ebay, Barnes and noble, just about every store I could think of, and I still can't find an inexpensive copy anywhere, Even used the price is heavy...

If anybody happens to know a good site or store I can order it from, i'd be heavily gratefull, I have a lot of foreign coins that I need to orginize and its going to be hard since a lot of them date before 1901.

If a hard copy book is not mandatory then maybe an official DVD version may fit the bill. I usually see them on e-bay between $26-$28.

I have 2003 edition of the 1901-2000 hardcopy. If you want it, I will let it go for $25 (incl shipping).

It's tough to justify $39 for a used version when Amazon will ship you a new one for $41.

For the record, there's a seller called Vernon Coins listed on both ebay and Amazon. I buy most of my books from them. When I don't (and this is one good answer to your need, JOE), I go here:

http://www.abebooks.com/

They currently list 43 examples of the 1801-1900 Krause, some under $30. I bought my example of that specific book through them.

Edit: Abe Books is a clearinghouse, representing a large number of sellers. I should add that every book I've bought through Abe has ended up being from this one dealer:
