So I am fairly new to collecting and have posted a couple items with them leading to nothing, but yesterday I went to the bank and got a box of pennies. Today I am not even halfway through it and feeling a bit lucky!! What do you guys think of these finds?

Nice finds but a few less photos next time. What are you seeing as error or variety? Best to post one coin per thread along with your question.

Not all the coins you oasted are front to back so not sure exactly what I'm looking at. It looks like you found some good condition wheat cents which I imagine is always a good.

Your best to post 1 coin per thread and front to back. All the photos are kind of miss matched.

When you post multiple coins, replies are difficult to address specific coins. Live and learn. And please tell us what you are seeing/thinking so we can help you better. Thanks.

Note all the areas he is showing is towards the rim direction. It is just die wear. Not a plus for these coins. They are just aging die issues. (so much for the luck theory)
Rest in Peace

The '43-S appears to be a later die state and has a filled R in LIBERTY which is kinda cool.

The 43 is DDD=die deterioration doubling. Also has a broken post on the R in LIBERTY.No added value though.

Try posting one coin at a time. Start with your most impressive coins and use the grading forum. More than likely you have some small premium coins based on condition alone.
Your eye is better than mine as you hold it. Consider the condition, identify anomalies, check key dates and hope for the best and be prepared to be disappointed many times.
Any cent worth 5 or ten times it's value is a winner for m e. And you never know what you might come across.

That's a very good box! A handful of unc wheaties, let alone the steel cent! I believe the steelie has been replated.

Nice collection of coins you found

Quote:
-weigh the 1983

Why weigh the 83? it will be around 2.5 grams. Now if it were an 82 - I would weigh that to see if is is zinc or copper.

I could be wrong, but aren't there some 83's struck on copper planchets that have been found?
