With the enrollment sellouts I thought today might be a fiasco. I was in and out quickly with a Congrats set.

It looks like there are over 60K units on the ASE despite the enrollment "sell out".

And just under 40K remaining an hour and a half in.

Why do some by the congrats ASE in lieu of the proof ASE? Or do you buy both. The proof is $2.00 cheaper.

I bought 3 Congrats to try my hand at flipping since they were selling at about double issue price. Also bought three regular ASE's, will pick the best one to keep in collection and sell the rest.

I guess $2 for the presentation folder; useful if giving as a gift.

Sold out at around 3PM ET. With that 30K limit on the set, might work out well.

Reno32, the 30K limit is cause the mint said so. I assume they try to produce only what will sell. Lately they seem to come up short.

I have two ASEs on enrollment. Already received the shipping notice for those. I bought the Congrats set this year as a gift for a milestone event.

I had to open my Proof Set to remove an actual nose hair off of the $1 coin, eww. The other plastic slab came pre-scratched, so I opened it too, to flip the coins around to the better side. (My proof set last year came without the Tuskegee quarter, so I suppose this is an improvement.)

Just in case I'm missing something.....Is there any benefit to the congratulations set if you collect ASEs (besides if you may be buying it as a gift and want to present it in the folder that says "congratulations")? I know 1 year the ASE was SF minted but I don't see the benefit of getting it if you already have a subscription for the ASE program.

Reno- That's just how many folders they printed saying "congratulations".
