I really like struck on split planchet coins, and they tend to be very affordable, often selling for less than $20. It's a lot of error for that price range. I paid $18 for this one.
Something about this one looks off, I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the complete loss of outer devices on the obverse, and it almost seems like the coin thins out even more as it gets to the edges.
Thanks! And well yeah, the lamination on the reverse is part of the whole split planchet thing, which is sort of just an extreme lamination error so to speak.
