I'm just learning how to spot Machine Doubling, so at the risk of sounding dumb...wha? They Y in Liberty is really throwing me off. And the pics don't do it justice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You got it right: MD. That is one exceptional example though. Don't usually see MD that strong. Neat find regardless!

Maybe a partially filled Y (the top portion) Notice how it is a bit lower and wider? That tells me that we are seeing the base of the Y more than the entire Imprint when it was struck.

High bounce Machine Doubling. Most of the time, it pushes the devices into a wider look, but I call this push doubling.
