I don't see a return crack to the rim.

Looks like a Cud to me. Congrats. (I don't think there is a minimum size requirement for a Cud.)

I agree with the frog. At least in these pics, the crack seems to fade out on Abe's shoulder.

I think you may actually have three retained Cuds. (Or "pre-cuds" in the new lingo.) They are a bit hard to see, but they appear to return through the rims. I couldn't find any of them on cuds-on-coins.

I can BARELY see the crack return back toy he rin under the shoulder. So, yes, I think is is a weak retained die break.

Very nice. It's weak but the crack definitely returns just east of the end of the bust. I don't think I can go through my wheat bags again, unless I can't get any new ones under $0.10 a coin.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I appreciate the input. @fortcollins The other two retained die breaks you're seeing are just lighting. In hand, there are no other retained die breaks. Thanks for checking though, I appreciate it. @John1 Yes I did check COC, and couldn't find any listed retained die breaks or even die breaks that fit the shape, size, and location of mine. Edit: The crack does seem to disappear for a small portion at the shoulder, but there is a return crack. I'm not sure if this still qualifies as a retained die break.

The missing part could just have worn off,it is a high point.Try taking a black & white pic to see if the crack shows up any better? John1

It may be a stage of UCD-1C-1940S-01 at COC.

Gotta agree with fortcollins, it certainly seems to be three Retained Cuds, especially after comparing it to the COC photos. Spetacular find QH72! You're doing what I'm doing, looking through old stuff, and there's no doubt that there's still stuff to be found even after it's searched!
