Hi all,

Saw this on ebay. Not a counterstamp. Looks like a hole has been drilled and a mini-penny inserted. Suspect mini-penny may be 3D printed?

Any thoughts? Never seen this before. Ta

It's probably one of these coins, inserted into the real coin.

Thanks. Yup, given the mini-penny is 1977 I guess that ties it up. Cheers

Now if a mini-dime had been inserted in a cent, that would be cool.

precision work there

Well, all you really need to do is drill a hole a wee bit smaller than the plug and there you have it.

Yes, smaller. If the hole is bigger the small one falls right through. A hair smaller and it wedges in securely.

And a bit of liquid N2 helps as well.
