Sorting through my coins, I noticed black dots that are present on 10 rubles. They were lying in capsules (as in the photo), but this did not save them. What do you know about it ?

Looks like they may be carbon spots to me.

The large blobby dot on the O looks like a drop of moisture somehow got inside the capsule, and started oxidizing the coin because the capsule didn't allow it to evaporate. Ditto the large blobby dot at lower right on obverse (ca. 4h).

No idea what the smaller dots could be; they look different.

Agree this is so-called "carbon flecking". Not much you can do about it.

I refer to coins like this as "sneeze coins".
Before it got encapsulated someone was not careful while handling it.
It may not have been a sneeze but it was exposed to something similar.

Appears to be cupric oxide corrosion from improper storage. It's only affecting the copper part.

Did you degrease your coins by alcohol or acetone before putting into capsules? This may be a reason for such corrosion.
For this particular coin the best way for you is to buy a new one in UNC conditions....

I understand you, but such dots may appear on new coins. I wonder where I made a mistake? What should I do to prevent such dots from appearing on new coins
