Thanks for the heads up. Now I wonder is it the same photo because the winner of the last one never paid up, or if it's a new photo he printed out with the same image.

No, it shows that the first one actually sold. Here's the "sold" link

Does sold mean sold and money has been sent? I have bough items on auction and one and the link is taken down saying "sold" before the item was actually paid for. Since when you win an auction or purchase the item is no longer visible for sale and says sold does not mean that the buyer has been paid.

Someone won the auction but that just means it sold, it does not mean that the buyer actually paid for the item.

I find the St Catharines area to be filled with plenty of pickers and flea marketers who have easy access to visitors who come to the Toronto to Niagara area.

All that being said maybe it comes in a 24k frame, delivered by Brinks

Those of you who missed out on those photos: don't despair! I used to photograph lots of rare Canadian material when I was at the Bank of Canada. Being a reasonable person, I could probably come up with a nice pair of 1921 50c photos for, say, $50 (with free shipping!). At my age I only have so much energy, though, so my offer must be limited to the first 50 takers. Now, who'll be first? Okie, what about you?

No thanks, Hax. I don't do "bright and shiny".

I can't believe someone paid 400 dollars for that piece of paper
