Just a thought. How does 100 members as a percentage of Australia's population compare to the other mob's membership as a percentage of their population. Surely we must have an edge there!!! Any retired maths' teacher care to try it, my calculator battery's flat. Muckeye.

100 members would be 99.8% of Australia's elite population, not counting expats.

Other numbers from other countries comprise professional collectors from the tip scavenging for a good deal.

That ought to stir the pot

Muckeye the hardest part to figure would be %s because we have sooo many members who do not list a country at all.

I'm not sure of exact members from each country, because not everyone list there country. Also not sure of population of U.S. but guess about 400000000.
Therefore Australia has about 1 member for every 220000 people.
United States has about 1 member for every 300000 people.

Does that make us the winners?

Steve

DISCLAIMER. I am making the assumption that the majority of people with unlisted countries are from the USA.

G'day and hi. Re those members without a national classification.
They can't all be Yanks, or could they? Doesn't matter,we're winning
The final assault could take place before Xmas and then us reconnaissance team members can take a break. Long live the Southern Cross.

It was announced last week that the U.S. population just hit 300 million. It's a shame that hundreds of member(mostly it seems inactive) did not list a country of origin. There is no doubt however that Aussie's are the largest group of members outside the U.S. Congrats!!!! Mike P.S I too miss Lim's voice on this forum. I hope he finds his way back and that all is well with him.....

Do not know what has happened to Lim,
but I contacted a mate in Australia in his town and he went out and checked on him.

He is alive and well- he is attending social functions in his community - he is just not posting on ANY coin sites. Nor is he answering emails or phone calls.

This is a great loss to all coin collectors.

If anyone else hears from him- Please let the rest of us know.

I even mailed Lim a coin and asked him to just log on and let everyone know that he is still around. I didn't even get a response from that.

No - No one on either forum offended him.
Let us just say Lim has somthing to work out at this time and leave it at that.

It is not nice to talk about others behind their backs.

Lim knows that all of the members of this and the Aussie forum have a great respect for his knowledge and participation and we would all like him back.

I would just add that I, and many others, miss Lim on the CCF.

Hopefully one day he will see fit to return.
