Received an email from the Mint: all enrollments of ASEs are full.

@bzookaj, I received that email too. In the email, they made sure to say that the W-proof will also be available in the Congratulations Set as well as the LESPS: Quote: An additional reminder - the 2022 Congratulation Set, which includes the 2022 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin (W), goes on sale on April 14th, at noon EST. This coin will also be included in the 2022 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set which goes on sale this Fall. So there will be at least 30k additional available via the Congrats set plus however many they make available in the LESPS. I have the feeling both of those will go quickly. I'm glad I kept my enrollments of two each.

Despite the mint saying all the ASE's have been claimed by subscription, the mint allows you to increase your subscription quantity. I think we're being played. People have a tendency to want what others want, especially if an item is in short supply. Shortages drive demand. I'll ask rhetorically how may people have increased their subscription quantity as a result of hearing the ASE's have been sold out except for subscriptions. And by selling more of them to customers buying bigger quantities, the mint is selling fewer of them to people just buying one or two of them, meaning they have to ship out fewer packages. Smart marketing and psychology behind what they're doing.

This isn't true, you can increase all you want, ONLY what you have prior to the Mint locking the enrollment is what you are getting. If you had 10 prior and changed it to 20, you are only getting 10. I once tried to increase my enrollment after the mint locked enrollment and I ended up getting kicked out of enrollment, so try to increase your quantity at your own risk.

Maybe bumping your subscription right now simply decreases tentatively allocated coin shop sales, I dunno.

I'm a little confused on these coins. The Mint states that there is no mintage or production limit. So can't anybody get on there website April 14th and order one? Am I missing something?

Rick, they don't produce an infinite amount of coins despite no mintage limit. Perhaps they should mint to the number of orders, but there are still limits in production capacity.

Thanks Eagle, Does this mean the average Joe can still get one when they go on sale on the 14th ?

I stopped in 2021 getting proof ASE as I thought the price was high but I did get the reverse proof due to the mintage. At the end of 2021 I decided to restart the mintage as I like ASE, in a way I'm happy as with the enrollment I'll get an S mint ASE but I still don't like the price!

Quote:...I'll get an S mint ASE but I still don't like the price! TRUE story... it's been difficult to keeep the ASE collection train going with the price increases over the past five years. But in the long run it's probably cheaper than trying to pick up cherry-picked ASEs off of ebay.

It has made me actually look to see if 1) I want the coin for my collection or 2) think it will go up in value over time to make a profit if I want to trade it for another coin.

Question on ASE enrollments with the mint: Will the mint charge my CC or send an order confirmation before the item goes on sale on the website?

Quote: Will the mint charge my CC or send an order confirmation before the item goes on sale on the website? From my experience, the mint will charge your card on the night before the day of sale will happen. BUT, lately, I have noticed that (for me at least) they have charged and sent notice 2 days prior to the sale of the item.
