Whoa! Sweet finds! Looks like little timmy got into dad's coins again. I cant imagine a collector would dump these for face knowing they would sell anywhere from $10-20

I too agree nice, really nice. The thing is with the economy as it is I suspect there will be more of such finds. People are dumping those old jars, cans, boxes, etc of coins just laying around for that rainy day.

And I though this was pretty cool to get from the bank tonight.

1935-Cents-From-Bank

The loan officer/CSC rep started putting rolls on the counter and asked what I wanted with $10 in cents and I told him I searched them. He didn't know anything about coins, and I always assumed that people that worked in banks were aware of the numismatic value of coins...nope.

He said he could get halves by the box, so he ordered me a box $500) for next week.

Wow, great find! I would go back to that bank and see if they have any more boxes from the same batch... there could be more, you never know.

The sad part is the Bank where I got the two boxes(the only two boxes from them) wouldn't let me get anymore from them. I have account with them but they said it puts wear and tear on the coin machine. I can get all the coins I want at my regular bank(same bank I regular go to). they all know I am a coin collector and they had no problems with that, but that branch or area of the bank. Thanks for looking.

Tell them that you will not deposit them back to their bank. They are just making excuses. I would almost hold that bank up for those wheaties lol :)

So if the bank has their own wrapping machine, why couldn't they just sell them to you loose/as-is?

The camera I use is a Olympus sp-550UZ. The bank runs the coins through a coin counter and that is what the problem she said. It put wear and tear the the counter. My bank don't roll the coins there, The coins are send in bags to another place.
