Gold On Ben Franklin's Eyes On $100 Bill

Saintly New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 01/20/2022 2:51 pm First, I'm new to this forum. I have a Series 2009 $100 bill With gold/copper ink on Ben Franklin's eyes. The color on each of Franklin's eyes, whether it's gold or copper or whatever, matches exactly the reflective color that may be found on the Liberty bell in the ink well and on the "100," both of which may be found at the lower right of Ben Franklin's image. When you tilt the bill, the eyes sparkle just like the color in the bell and that lower righthand "100." This is the first $100 bill on which I have noticed this. I have serious doubts that miscellaneous glittery gold ink mysteriously spattered or was placed exactly on Franklin's eyes during the printing process at the BEP. Looks like someone was being silly or clever by purposely dabbing it on the note. My opinion is that it's post-BEP graffiti. Report this Post to the Staff

Of course, we've all heard of quirky things that sometimes can happen when currency or coins are being produced and, seeing this, I was hoping to have something very unique and, hopefully, worth at least $100.01. Nick, I think they do, but it's hard to tell. The eyes are smaller and they're farther from the edge of the bill than the liberty bell and "100."
