Does anyone collect the little blue Whitman coin folders? I just inherited a bunch that were manufactured in the 1940s. They are in really nice but not perfect condition. Unfortunately, most of them are empty. I am not necessarily trying to sell them or place a value on them or anything; I just find them interesting. I do know that no matter what something is, there is somebody that collects it.

I am also wondering that as well, but I have some of other brands too. I have about a hundred old albums from collections I purchased over the past couple years.

At coin shows I almost always see those old folders on a table for sale. They just sit there. Not a big favorite item.

I still have all my old blue Whitman folders from when I moved to Dansco albums. A few years after the move I started refilling them with duplicates found in my change so they are not empty (nor anywhere near full).

I am sure someone collects them though. I know just carl collects the Red Book, so anything is possible.

Hi,

I just bought a few new ones. Yes. I went back to Whitman.
If you handle them correctly when putting in the coins, no problems.
The pennies in the Whitman look just like they did when my son got them. 40 years ago.

You could always try donating them to a kid that is interested in the hobby. There are quite a few ways you could benefit if you found someone that could really use them and can't afford them.

You can always write the donation off on your taxes especially if you give them to Goodwill or some other organization.
Just some ideas in case they are taking up room.
