The pics posted are rather soft--not sharp enough to really get a sense for accurate grading. That said, The coin most likely falls in the VF range--essentially a common, well-circulated '39 S. It's a good hole filler until something better comes along.
28 posts, gotta start somewhere! I learned a lot from constantly building sets, knocking down poorer graded coins to lessers sets. Took me a long time to even get to MS coins and I'm still seeking advice! I like the firm encouragement but I still have some beginner coins filling holes 20 years later that I just never have been able to get to. Some peoples tops are other peoples culls.
Thanks guys.I know I'm a newbie but my dad taught me alot unfortunately he passed and my brother sold all his coins in one sale its hard to tell what they were worth. But I told my dad that I would collect for him. Thanks for all your encouragement.
