Just a die crack. On a Retained Cud (Also called a pre-cud) the design will be slightly shifted, showing the crack is deeper. Shift/retained would look like this:
Lincoln-Memorial.-Pre-Cuds?
Lincoln-Memorial.-Pre-Cuds?
Lincoln-Memorial.-Pre-Cuds?
Lincoln-Memorial.-Pre-Cuds?
Lincoln-Memorial.-Pre-Cuds?

Nice die cracks. I would say that coin 2 is closer to a future Cud than coin one is. Notice how the crack stops and re-starts in the letters ICA.
