Another Justice note I got from Great Collections. I was also bidding on a few Justice notes on Heritage, but they got a bit pricey so I bailed. There are 31 different Justice notes by Friedberg numbers (Fr#1343-1373), though only 27 are listed in the PMG registry "complete" fractional note set. The other four, Fr#1351-1354, are extremely rare. Fr#1358 is one of the more common Justice varieties with 117 currently graded by PMG, with 14 in 64EPQ and 9 graded higher. This note has an uneven trim, but it doesn't cut into the frame. Notice the bit of the adjacent note visible on the left side of the face.

Another Justice green back note, this one with a position indicator "a" on the front (visible in the lower left field). The left edge trim cuts a bit into the frame of the design on the face which has limited the grade. For those who aren't aware, the 3rd issue 50 cents Justice and Spinner notes were printed in sheets of 12, 3 across and 4 down. A position indicator "a" was printed on the lower left field of the notes in the top row, and a position indicator "1" was printed on the far left field of the notes in the left column. Thus, out of each sheet of 12, three notes had a position indicator "1", two notes had a position indicator "a", one note had both a "1" and an "a", and six notes had no position indicator.

Thank you, Morgans Dad! I'm selling more and more of my coin collection as I build up my sets of type notes, fractionals, and Arkansas notes. You'll still see the occasional upgrade of a silver classic commemorative and maybe an occasional Buffalo nickel or silver dollar from me, but my purchases are probably more than 95% currency at this point. Though I only started collecting large and small size type currency in 2019 (after over 50 years of coin collecting), and fractionals in early-2022, it's really become a passion for me. And Arkansas National Bank Notes and obsoletes have really got me stirred up the past year or two!
