G'day, I gather that $1 "centenary of commonwealth age pension" is a circulation coin, is that correct ? The only one I've seen is the one in the pic above: thankyou T-mob. I wonder which of the work-experience kiddies at RAM did the artwork ? I wonder what the mintage will be, in comparison to 2009 MoR ? It seems that the flip-flopping of 2005 & 2008 is now the norm ... Peter, happy to be home in Darwin

It is a circulation coin Peter. Mintage is supposed to be 5 million I believe.
And glad you made it home again safe and sound. Seems like everyone on this forum who heads south by car ends up with trouble. Didn't Sap have the same problem awhile back?
I have an opened roll of these pensioner coins if you would like one, send me a PM with your address.

I haven't seen many 2009 coins in country Vic yet but I haven't had much time to look either! I certainly haven't seen the centenary of commonwealth age pension $1 which looks like a nice coin. I think I'll have to look for one soon because I think circulated coins will get damaged easily as there seem a lo of large flat areas to get scratches.

All the pensioner dollars I have taken from the RAM rolls have been pretty dinged.

Not sure about anyone else, but I got my first 2009 50c & 20c coins the other day. I got 6 50c & 9 20c. But all except 3 of the 20c coins had a tiny die crack above (joining) the two feet of the "U" in "Australia" heading towards the "S". Has anyone else noticed this? I will try to get pics up soon as possible.
Simon

Sorry it took so long, but here is a pic of the 2009 20c Obv Die Crack above U. A new find yesterday, a 2009 20c Obv with Cuds on nose infront of eye & on upper lip. The Die crack one is more frequent than ones without. Simon

Thankyou Peter... I recently got a usb micro camera, not bad for $99.00 takes fairly good pics. I think this will be a good variety year! Seems that way to me, so far in the 20c I have found more varieties than "normals".
