Got a few 2009 20 cents but I haven't come across any die cracks like yours jackool. And a suprise - pulled a 2009 1 dollar coin, it's not the MOB or the pension coin BUT ... 60th anniversary of Australian Citizenship - mintmark C Will post a photo soon.

Well done Gx... Haven't seen too many NCLT coins in my area, although I pulled a Kingsford-Smith, T.V. (m) & 1999 Anzac recently. Other than those NCLT's, nothing.
I am starting to wonder if I am just in the right place at the right time, with those die cracks, that is. =o)

In my experience, error coins often appear in 'groups'. I think there's probably a certain number of new coin bags that contain heaps of them, and when they're bagged by the Security Companies & distributed, many of them end up going to the same area, probably even to the same shop/s. So I'd say you're quite right, Quote: I am starting to wonder if I am just in the right place at the right time, with those die cracks, that is. =o) Some will filter through the system & appear elsewhere eventually, but the sooner they are rescued, the better the condition , naturally. As far as 2009 20¢ & 50¢ go, I've got 3 x 20¢ & 2 x 50¢ so they're not real thick on the ground here in Brisbane yet. No '09 5¢ or 10¢ sighted at all!

Nancy, I am the same with the 5c & 10c coins here in Vic... None!! Although, I have seen some 2010 coins at the post office, lol, it seems funny that the 2010 sets are out, and yet we still haven't sighted a 5c or 10c from 2009!

I remember last year, it was the end of Nov before the 2008 5¢ showed up, and by the end of the year I had about 5 of them. It was about Feb 09 before they became common, so there's hope yet.

Nancy, it was the same with the 2008 5c & 10c here too. I didn't think they were going to surface at all there for a bit. But, as you know, good things come to those who wait... That lesson came all so true for me today as I went through my pocket, after realising that I had forgotten to check my change from getting petrol last night, and there it was looking at me... A 1966 20c Wavy 2 . I am absolutely stoked to say the least. Now all I need is a 2000 Donkey and I will be set Simon

quote: "Now all I need is a 2000 Donkey ..." response: a donkey is a pure-bred - no shortage of them; the mule is the hybrid - hence the scarcity.
Jackool: could you please open a thread under "photography", about your USB micro-camera - where you got it, what you've learned about it so far; some sample pics; what you might look for if you buy another one ... $99 sounds like a good price for something that could be a lot of fun ...

Quote: a donkey is a pure-bred - no shortage of them; the mule is the hybrid - hence the scarcity Thankyou Peter, just being different. I will open a post in the Photography section, as this little camera is an absolute pearler... I love it. As for a picture Justa, I have a good close up of the area, but I haven't got the full coin yet. But here is the best part. My little precious Simon

Here's the NCLT dollar coin I talked about: Funny how I found two 2004 20c large variety roughly the same time. That took a loooooong time to find. Now to find the wavy 20 cents and as well as the mule.

GX, that coin has had a major workout hasn't it... Gotta love finding NCLT's, though!! I am sure that wavy 2 and the mule are just around the corner... Although, the mule has my name on it hehe Also kudos on the 2 large head 2004 20's Simon Also, before I forget!! Time for a small rant! I got my 2010 mint sets today and I have to say that whoever is heading up quality control at the mint, really needs to get a new set of eyes, or a new job, as these coins are really not great . 3x Rev doubling (a fair amount of Cud on that fat 50) and 2 obv doubled coins... Not bad, 5 out of 6 in the one set. It really must be said that someone has dropped the ball. Just my opinion, but please let me know if anyone finds a good set. (Almost seems like a challenge )

It took until nearly the end of the year, but yesterday I got 2 2009 50c pieces. So far this year all I have found are 5 $2 and those 2 50c.
