on the reverse starting with ES OF AMERICA looks like blisters probably just an odd set of blisters usually a ring

Possible split plating on the outside edge of the rim. The zinc exposing allow oxygen to the zinc. The zinc is starting to rot. Not a plus for the coin. A spender. Zinc exposed from 2:00-5:00.

looks like split plating but the newer photo albeit not in good focus seems to show bubbles.
